San Gabriel Valley Choral Company
Our Mission
The San Gabriel Valley Choral Company (SGVCC) connects singers and audiences through accessible and diverse programming, quality performances, and community service.
The San Gabriel Valley Choral Company (SGVCC) was founded by Dr. Thomas M. Miyake in September 1995 to allow local singers to “stretch their minds and vocal cords.” Comprised of singers from the San Gabriel Valley, the Inland Empire and other local communities, their repertoire has included music from the Renaissance period to works of the early 21st century. Along with more traditional selections, music performed has included avant-garde, jazz, a Broadway musical review, and staged productions.
In March 1999, the SGVCC was selected to perform at the annual convention of the American Choral Directors Association/California Music Educators Association. In 2002, the SGVCC went on a concert tour of China. SGVCC continued its tradition of fine choral music with Artistic Director Dr. Zanaida Robles (2012-2017) and Dr. Alexandra Grabarchuk (2017-2022).
